A Seat at the Table

A Seat At The โต๊ะ  (Table) reimagines the gallery as a communal space for gathering and exchange, where food becomes a conduit for exploring identity, sharing intergenerational stories, and deepening connections to cultural heritage. Through lens-based storytelling and installation, the exhibition explores the continuation of cultural practices while amplifying Australian Asian stories and identities. Let’s get crafty! Join us at Anzac Square Memorial Galleries these school holidays to create your own paper soldier camouflage uniform.   Solider colouring-in sheets will be available in our Post World War II Gallery from Sunday 21 September to Sunday 5 October, on our craft table, along with all the supplies you will need to design your own uniform. Perfect for the whole family, this activity allows kids to embrace their creativity and bring to life their own soldier! Whether you use collage materials, coloured pencils, stickers or stamps, each uniform will be unique. Completed artworks can be displayed on our “How do you remember” wall or taken home to be treasured.  We can’t wait to see what you create. Visible Ink Takeover the QSM Stage featuring Dylan Scott-Lee

Dylan Scott-Lee is an teenage singersongwriter based in Brisbane. He started performing at 4 years ago at his highschool and has performed at everything he could ever since, including open mics, community festivals, and talent shows. Dylan Scott-Lee’s debut album, ‘WILDFLOWERS’ was released over a year and a half ago, and since then he has released nearly a hundred songs with just a phone and some apple headphones. On 19 December, Dylan will release ‘Selling my thoughts, pt.2’ a yearly EP he uses to display his most raw and unfiltered thoughts. Dylan will be performing at 12-12.30pm and 1-1.30pm.
