Arduino Camp for Beginners (Ages 7 - 12)

Arduino Camp for Beginners will be held July 14th through the 16th, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, in Manuel Hall, room #238. Elementary age students will learn the basics of circuitry, wiring, and coding by creating blinking lights, the Simon Says game and more. Build your child’s interest in coding and creating microcomputer projects with the Arduino UNO®. Students will learn basic electronics and programming as they build five projects using the Arduino Starter Kit. Kits provided by LSUE for use during class; students can purchase their own kit if they want to continue their learning by going to Amazon and searching for: ELEGOO UNO Project Super Starter Kit with Tutorial and UNO R3 Compatible with Arduino IDE. Kids on Campus

LSUE is excited to celebrate this summer by hosting "KIDS on CAMPUS" Day on July 18, 2025, and welcomes all kids in the area between the ages of 8-12 years old to come and share in this exciting day of adventure and fun!! We have a very exciting day planned, filled with games, activities, crafts, and even a campus-wide scavenger hunt to give them an opportunity to explore our beautiful campus! Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. in the Community Education Building - Room #117, located across from LSUE's softball field.  There will be signs directing you to check-in at the entrance of the building. Intermediate Arduino Camp (Ages 12-15)

We’re sorry to say it, but you seem to have crashed on some alien planet. Did you not see it on your radar? Whelp no worries, we’ve dealt with this situation thousands of times. We know this may sound overwhelming, but you need to learn to code and wire so you can fix your destroyed control panel. Students should have already completed the beginner’s course or have a working knowledge of wiring, circuitry, and coding skills in the C programming language.
