Braegelman Program in Catholic Studies Lecture Series Summary: Dr. Paul Gavrilyuk, eminent Orthodox theologian and holder of the Aquinas Chair in Theology and Philosophy in the Theology Department at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota, will explore the main issues that continue to divide Catholic and Orthodox Churches, discuss the role of the Nicene Creed as the basis of our common faith, and propose a path to full communion. Late baroque music for baroque guitar by Santaigo de Murcia will be performed by Mina Kaiser on a replica instrument of the time period. The instrument is a copy of a guitar made by Stradivari, created by local luthier Daniel Larson.
