Established in 2000, Phlagleblast is an annual event in which the University Union showcases all of the great vendors, offices and services the Union has to offer. Phlagleblast is held the second week of each Fall semester either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the calendar year. A committee decides on a theme and the building is transformed/decorated overnight. Past themes include: “Love” Candy Land, Under the Sea, Jungle Safari, Circus, Enchanted Forest and many more. This year's theme is... wave of fun!
The Phlagleblast game allows students, staff, and faculty to familiarize them with the Union. As visitors enter the building, they are greeted and welcomed by our friendly staff with a happy smile and a game card. Participants then visit each vendor, office or program on the game card and receive a stamp and other information and useful goodies such as highlighters, pens, post-its, and many other school supplies. Once their game card is complete, they submit it to the prize table and are automaticall…
