Digital Dispute Resolution Platforms: The Impact of New Technologies on the Future of International Commercial Arbitration

Digital platforms have been offering dispute resolution services in the e-commerce domain for sometime. New technologies such as blockchain and AI have not only changed the digital landscape but have also given rise to new dispute resolution models for the digital economy. The legitimacy of these platforms has been advocated on both theoretical and functional grounds. However, their legality had been called into question by practitioners and policy makers.
