English Country Dance Music for Harps and Hammered Dulcimers

Lessonface Connector Learn English country dance tunes, as played for the dances, with Anne Lough on the Hammered Dulcimer and Lorinda Jones on Harp. I was born in the Appalachian mountains into an Irish-American family that plays Irish music. Since my earliest memories, the fiddling traditions from both sides of the Atlantic have been ever present in my life and musical career. In this lesson series, we will explore how the history of Scottish and Irish immigration has influenced the evolution of traditional Southern fiddling. I will demonstrate various fiddle styles, bowing techniques and repertoires.
