Career Clubs - Slides That Don't Suck: Designing for Effective Presentation
Effective presentation and good communication are essential skills in academic and research careers. But beware! Digital presentation tools can mislead you into creating slides (and presentations) that suck. In this workshop, we will apply lessons from cognitive science and instructional design to highlight key principles of good slide and presentation design. We also will examine and discuss how to use multimedia and online tools to guide audience attention and enhance communication during your future presentations.
