OUR Advisory Council Meeting
The OUR Advisory Council encourages campus efforts of faculty members, departments, and colleges to incorporate undergraduate researchers into the research enterprise at the University of Utah; reward outstanding undergraduate research mentors; suggests and encourage procedures through which students may improve the effectiveness of the undergraduate research processes; makes recommendations concerning undergraduate research awards for early explorations, Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR).

Monthly Deadline to Apply for OUR Travel & Small Grants
The Office of Undergraduate Research provides funding opportunities for students whose research requires travel or other support.
When to Apply: Grants are considered monthly. Travel Grant and Small Grant applications are reviewed and applicants are notified of the outcome by the 7th day of every month. This means all applications (including the faculty mentor portion) must be submitted no later than the last day of the previous month. Grants are for future expenses only (applications submitted in the same month as the travel will not be accepted).

Early Exploration Scholars Research Tour - Marriott Library
The Early Exploration Scholars Program fosters student connections with faculty mentors. Early Exploration Scholars learn about research opportunities at the University of Utah and receive a $250 scholarship to explore connecting with prospective faculty mentors surrounding research. The program provides opportunities to grow research interests early on in an academic journey.
This "Working Through Research Aspirations" tour will start in the first floor lobby of the Marriott Library. Studies have shown that star researchers are also big readers. On this stop on the Research Tour, learn how to find what research is out there and how to use it to develop your own research aspirations. Bonus feature: also learn about the library’s best study spots. Special thanks to our host librarian, Allyson Mower.

The Early Exploration Scholars Program fosters student connections with faculty mentors. Early Exploration Scholars learn about research opportunities at the University of Utah and receive a $250 scholarship to explore connecting with prospective faculty mentors surrounding research. The program provides opportunities to grow research interests early on in an academic journey.
This tour will take place in room 202 in the HPER-East building. The College of Health Research Center offers a diverse range of research opportunities, focusing on human health and performance. The areas of research include: Sleep Circadian Physiology & Cognition, Exercise Intervention & Exercise Testing, Mobility & Stability, and Musculoskeletal Biomechanics. To complete the research, the center has a metabolic kitchen and wet lab. Special thanks to our host Meredith Liddiard and the PIs of HPER-East.

It begins at the Primary Children’s and Families’ Cancer Research Center (HCI-South, 2000 Circle of Hope), renowned for its groundbreaking work in cancer treatment and prevention. Research on Capitol Hill (ROCH) Application Deadline
