The National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards are a set of actionable steps that help organizations and providers to reduce health disparities and meet the unique needs of diverse communtities with substance use or mental health challenges. This interactive dialogue will explore how CLAS encourages culturally responsive care by honoring individuals' cultural perspectives and language preferences, enhancing opportunities and pathways to recovery and wellness. Understanding Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

This free virtual training provides an overview of the medications used to treat Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), including a discussion of the benefits and limitations of each option. Participants will gain practical knowledge and increased confidence in talking with clients about MOUD, supporting them in making informed decisions about their care. The session will also explore the role of stigma in MOUD treatment and offer guidance on using non-stigmatizing, person-centered language. Event interval: Single day event.
