As one of a small number of psychiatrists in her region she has a diverse research agenda, spanning the genetics of mental illness, trauma, suicide prevention, and perinatal mental health, one of her particular areas of interest is the integration of mental health into primary care. She has found a mix of research, clinical practice, education, and advocacy that she feels is her best way to support the mental health of the Kenyan people.
