Building Resilience to Address Change & Uncertain Times   In this workshop, Megan Kennedy, Director of the UW Resilience Lab, will introduce resilience-based skills and mindsets that support our capacity to address change and deal with uncertain times. UA Safe, Secure and Supported Training: Session A

Safe, Secure and Supported Training Part I is designed to help us collectively build a workplace where everyone feels respected, safe, and supported. This session will offer practical strategies to navigate difficult interactions with care and confidence, while strengthening a culture of trust and accountability. Part II will be provided in early 2026 with an additional focus on community intervention practices. Participants will engage in skill-building around bystander intervention, micro-affirmations, and setting healthy boundaries—tools that support both personal well-being and strong professional relationships. We’ll also explore how to show up for colleagues and share the resources available through UW. The training is facilitated by the SafeCampus Violence Prevention and Response Program, in partnership with People and Culture. Through class sessions, guest speakers, and applied learning exercises, L.E.A.D. (Learn, Engage, Accelerate and Develop) develops the leadership qualities, skills, and attributes of Advancement's emerging leaders while instilling our organizational values. The L.E.A.D. program meets twice monthly from September through May. L.E.A.D. cohort members are identified through nomination by their direct managers, with the Advancement Executive Strategy Team involved in the final selection.
